Instructor Licensing:
Stay updated with all thebodybar(re) has to offer when you become a licensed instructor. For a low monthly fee, enjoy access to monthly training videos, choreography suggestions, music playlists, training tips and ongoing expert advice. (Level One Training Certification required)
Studio Licensing:
Join the growing thebodybar(re) network! For a low yearly fee you can be a part of thebodybar(re) with your own studio. As a thebodybar(re) fitness studio, you'll receive training and business development support, as well as studio consultation and management expertise. Licensed studios are provided with our marketing materials and valuable business advice, in addition to benefitting from free advertising by being listed and linked on our thebodybar(re) studio website. An unlimited number of instructors will also receive access to an online library of monthly updated training videos, choreography suggestions, music playlists, training tips and ongoing expert advice. Licensed studios secure an 10 mile protected territory, ensuring they're the only thebodybar(re) studio in the neighborhood! Discounts are offered for instructor certifications as well. If you cant attend one of our Las Vegas training certifications, we can come to you with a minimum of five attendees! (Level One and Level Two Training Certifications required)

thebodybar(re) Certification Program
Do you love the barre workout and want to share your love of barre? Have you often thought about teaching fitness classes as a way to increase your income? Do you enjoy barre and want to master your practice by gaining a better understanding of the techniques involved in properly executing the exercises? Do you want help others to deepen their barre practice? Are you outgoing and motivating? If you answered yes to any of these questions, our Teacher Training certification is for you! Join a community of like-minded individuals and discover life-long friendships at thebodybar(re). Don't be fooled by imitations, learn from the best and fully understand this complex and challenging, mind and body-changing workout.
Our Level One Teacher Training Certification will give you 20 hours of personal hands on training with one or two of our thebodybar(re) owner/trainers. You will learn the origins of the barre workout and how it has transformed into the workout we know and love today. You'll also learn about the body and how various muscles are recruited in barre exercises, in order to sculpt the body to perfection. You will teach a mock (re)shape barre class while practicing cuing and demonstrating proper posturing. You might also have an opportunity to teach with your trainers throughout the weekend during actual barre classes at thebodybar(re)! You can enjoy unlimited personal classes at thebodybar(re) during the month of training. You will be awarded a certificate of completion at the end of the program and you will be eligible to apply to instruct classes at thebodybar(re). You will also be given the opportunity to join our instructor licensing program while teaching in your own studio or become a licensed thebodybar(re) studio!
Additionally you will learn:
- How to sequence a 60-minute barre class
- How to set up positions and learn logical progressions for each exercise
- Use music and voice inflections to teach a fun and challenging class
- The basic anatomy of the body and common terms used
- How to give hands-on adjustments to students
- How to give injury and pregnancy modifications
- How to get clients to make mind-body connections to deeper their practice
- How to motivate clients to get the most out of their workout
Liz Denny graduated from UNLV with a graduate degree in psychology. She incorporated her education with her passion for fitness, which led her to become the Director of Training at thebodybar(re). Liz currently holds certifications in Personal Training, Barre, TRX, and Yoga. Liz's passion for fitness, her knowledge of exercise science, and her love of the barre technique is apparent in all of her classes. She is dedicated to helping clients achieve their fitness goals as well as to assisting and encouraging them to live both a happy and healthy lifestyle.

Can I open my own studio and/or teach thebodyba(re) barre classes once I complete the training? We have two programs for anyone trained through our certification program. Our first option is our studio licensee program. You may open your own studio becoming a part of thebodybar(re) and using our name (geographical restrictions apply). The second option is our (optional) instructor licensee program where you can teach MIXT barre®. For a small monthly fee you can have access to our password protected website. You can open you own studio using your own name or you can teach teach MIXT barre wherever you want but you will not be able to call your studio thebodybar(re) unless you become a part of our affordable studio licensee program. You don't need to complete both Level One and Level Two to teach MIXT barre but it's highly recommended you take both certifications. You are allowed to reference that you are "Certified by thebodybar(re)" upon completion of the training and provided you pass the final written exam. You will be mailed a certification certificate you can proudly display in your studio.
I'm new to the barre workout, can I still enroll? Yes. This certification program does not require any pre-requisites however any sort of professional fitness background is extremely helpful and recommended. If you are going to teach at thebodybar(re) In one of our Las Vegas studios, we require a professional certification. Examples would be group or personal training, pilates, yoga, spin or TRX certifications.
Does this mean I can teach at a thebodybar(re) studio? Every licensed thebodybar(re) studio hires their own teachers. All trainees will be required to complete both the Level One and Level Two trainings and will have to video test out to be eligible to work in a thebodybar(re) studio. Additionally all instructors will still have to be interviewed for a particular studio. Las Vegas instructors will be required to have additional training and class practice.
Do you have a program where I can have access to additional information? Yes, we have an instructor licensee program! For a low monthly fee you can have access to a password protected website. Every month the site is updated with a training video of the month, a suggested playlist as well as other relevant fitness information.
How big are the trainings? We limit the attendees to 12 trainees so that you have personalized attention and are able to learn in an intimate setting.
Can I attend if I just want to deepen my practice and understanding of the barre workout? Of course! We have barre devotees attend the certifications all the time. Past attendees have been amazed at how the training deepened their barre practice.

Licensed studios are provided with our marketing materials and valuable business advice, in addition to benefitting from free advertising by being listed and linked on our thebodybar(re) studio website. An unlimited number of instructors will also receive access to an online library of monthly updated training videos, choreography suggestions, music playlists, training tips and ongoing expert advice. Licensed studios secure a protected territory, ensuring they're the only thebodybar(re) studio in the neighborhood! With a studio license, one training certification is provided at one of our scheduled certifications. Discounts are offered for addition instructor certifications as well. If you cannot attend one of our Las Vegas training certifications, we can come to you with a minimum of five attendees! (Level One and Level Two Training Certifications required).
